VOLKSWAGEN TO RESUME PRODUCTION
After a supplier dispute left patrons of Volkswagen’s Golf wondering whether the German automobile manufacturer would continue to make the car, Volkswagen got to work. They settled the dispute with their factories in Germany, allaying fears that production would stop for a long period of time. The small blip had forced Volkswagen to cut down on the hours of nearly 30,000 workers and compensate the suppliers for a contract they felt they had been given the short end of. Neither Volkswagen nor the suppliers, who were owned by the Prevent Group, would give comment on the situation.
