The three major healthcare providers are pulling out of several states where Obamacare is the plan they offer. Aetna said that it is leaving 11 out of the 15 states where they offer Obamacare after losing $430 million. The company went on to say that downsizing will follow. UnitedHealth will only be offering Obamacare in three states at the beginning of 2017 and Humana is pulling out of over 1,000 counties in 8 states. The companies feel that the exchanges that come with Obamacare are often too costly to pay, with many of the wealthier patients choosing to pay a penalty over a premium.
