INDONESIA TO EXECUTE 14 BY FIRING SQUAD

Indonesian Attorney General Muhammad Prasetyo has ordered the execution of 14 inmates accused of drug trafficking. Human Rights Watch has expressed their disapproval of the action and have implored Indonesian President Joko Widodo to grant a stay of execution. Amnesty International argues that Widodo "will be putting his government on the wrong side of history if he proceeds with a fresh round of executions”. The statements come in the wake of previous executions carried out by the Attorney General.
