NEVER FEAR, ELON MUSK IS HERE
Despite Tesla’s rough spell these last couple of weeks, Elon Musk has a plan. Tesla’s autopilot feature garnered a lot of attention for the wrong reasons when Joshua Brown died “driving” his Tesla down a country road. As a result, a huge debate flared up over whether or not Tesla’s system was as safe as it was touted to be. Furthermore, when the electric car company made plans to acquire SolarCity for the possibility of pursuing solar energy, they received a “big thumbs down” from Wall Street. However, his unveiling of the Model S in 2006 was in similar circumstances to what is happening now. While no one knows what Musk has up his sleeve, we do know for certain it will be something extraordinarily ambitious. He has made claims recently that Tesla can beat its two year target for car production, as well as get itself to a net worth of $700 billion. Whether he can really do that remains to be seen.
