As strange as that headline may seem, the problem presented by it is very real. Near a Walt Disney hotel in Orlando, Florida, a toddler was snatched by an alligator. Despite his father’s best efforts to save him, the toddler vanished. A search has been put into effect, but as of yet, no trace of the boy has been found. As a result, Disney announced that all of its beaches have been closed due to an “abundance of caution”. Jeff Williamson, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office maintained that the search operation was just that: a search and rescue operation. He further asserted that they were hoping for the best.
