IPL 2016: CHAMPIONS

Unfancied Sunrisers Hyderabad have toppled Royal Challengers Bangalore and upset their applecart and won the famous and popular Indian Premier League title and the cup for 2016, in Bangalore today. After conceding 208 runs off their 20 overs, Royal Challengers Bangalore, through a brave effort from Chris Gayle who scored 76 off 38 balls with eight sixes, briefly threatened to overhaul the mammoth total but once Gayle departed, they just could not get their act together. Virat Kohli managed to score 54 off 35 balls but the rest of the RCB batsmen threw away the great start, played some brainless shots, were involved in some terrible running between the wickets, and the match ended in an absolute anticlimax as the Sunrisers Hyderabad ran away winners by the slim but significant margin of 8 runs in the end. Earlier, David Warner led his team with the bat, slamming 69 off 38 balls and Ben Cutting massacred the RCB bowling to the tune of 39 runs off 15 balls with 4 hits outside the stadium, one of the shots almost landing the ball in the adjoining Mahatma Gandhi Road.
