After being put in to bat, the Kolkata Knight Riders made it to 183 for 5 through fifties from Gautam Gambhir and Manish Pandey. But no total is unattainable when you have Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in your ranks and all three are firing, as the Royal Challengers Bangalore blazed away, getting to 100 in the 12th over for the loss of only one wicket. Chris Gayle muscled his way to 49 off 31 balls, but that was just the appetizer to the main meal provided by Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers as they rendered the match to a no-contest, adding 115 runs in next to no time, and carrying the Royal Challengers Bangalore to a facile nine-wicket victory. For the statistically minded, Virat Kohli went on to make an unbeaten 75 off 51 balls while AB de Villiers was even more destructive, remaining not out on 59 off 31 deliveries.
