IPL 2016: SEASON 9

Delhi Daredevils have steamrolled Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad in the ongoing Indian Premier League. Sunrisers Hyderabad, after being asked to bat first, had a decent opening partnership of 67 in nine overs between David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan but it was surprising that they struggled after that, never lifted their tempo and stuttered to 146 for 8, a grossly insufficient total. Shikhar Dhawan took 37 balls to score 34, and Kane Williamson and Yuvraj Singh played some terrible cricket, unable to create scoring opportunities. Chris Morris, who is more famous for his acrobatic catches than for his bowling skills, bowled a splendid spell, giving away only 19 runs off his four overs. When the Delhi Daredevils batted, Quinton de Kock had no problems, racing away to 44 off 31 balls, and Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant added useful 30s in quick time as the Delhi Daredevils danced on the Sunrisers Hyderabad corpse, hurrying to the winning post with nearly two overs to spare. Chris Morris won the Man of the Match award, showing everybody that he has excellent skills beyond his fielding capabilities.
