A cornerstone of Donald Trump’s campaign has been his fight against the Republican establishment. One of his main refrains has been “I’m not a politician”, leading to him calling out the Republican National Committee Chairman, accusing him of “stacking the odds against me”. The Republican frontrunner said that the RNC has changed the rules, obscuring them and manipulating them to work against him. RNC chairman Reince Priebus fired back, saying that Trump’s campaign should be aware of the rules, which have not changed for the better part of a year. Trump further disparaged Cruz, saying that his rival knew what was going on and did not inform him.
Homeowners in Toulouse, France, wanted to perform some simple maintenance on their roof. Upon going up to the attic to access the roof, they found a nearly 400 year old work by the Italian painter Caravaggio. The painting depicted a particularly violent Biblical scene, one that was not out of character with the way Caravaggio painted, said Old Masters expert Eric Turquin. French authorities have placed an export ban on the painting, which is valued at 120 million euros, or $136 million.

Josh Gordon, wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns, had his confidentiality rights violated when it came to drug tests, according to Mike Freeman, NFL national lead writer for Bleacher Report. NFL players have no privacy in drug tests. Freeman reports that most of the time, the media are able to find out within hours. In the case of Josh Gordon, his results were leaked, and soon after the league announced its decision to ban him from the league sans reinstatement. While in the past, leaks have been generally aimed at making a player’s stock fall so that the team which leaked the info can get the player, Freeman alleges that the leaks are becoming calculated.
RAJINIKANTH AND PRIYANKA CHOPRA BAG THE HIGHEST HONOR
Eminent personalities from sports and entertainment have been awarded Padma awards from President Pranab Mukherjee today. Mr Mukherjee presented the Padma awards to Tamil superstar Rajnikanth, sportsperson Sania Mirza, South Indian film personality Ramoji Rao and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra in Civil Investiture ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan. The Bollywood singer Udit Narayan who has given more than 100 hit songs in his career has been given Padma Bhushan by the President for his contribution to the film music industry.
