NEW ZEALAND VS PAKISTAN:NEW ZEALAND BEAT PAKISTAN & SEAL SPOT IN SEMI-FINALS

New Zealand advance to the semifinals of the T20 World Cup by beating Pakistan by 22 runs in Mohali today. Winning the toss, New Zealand batted first and scored 180 for 5. Opener Martin Guptill played a terrific knock of 80 off 48 deliveries, hitting three sixes and ten fours which meant 58 out of his 80 runs came in boundaries. Ross Taylor chipped in with an unbeaten 36 off 23 balls. Pakistan had a great start to their innings, opener Sharjeel Khan plundering 47 off 26 balls as Pakistan reached 65 in just 5 overs. But once Sharjeel got out the Pakistan batsmen frittered away the advantage, Umar Akmal could not up the tempo and Pakistan ended up on 158 for 5 to lose the match. Unless something miraculous happens now, Pakistan are out of the tournament.

India take on Bangladesh in Bangalore tomorrow before we get to the mouthwatering India Australia contest towards the weekend.
